The SSCHR TS praised the rapid response of the State Council to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi (issued on the eighth of this March on the occasion of International Women’s Day) to seek the hiring of women in the State Council and the Public Prosecution.
The SSCHR held a meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021, in the presence of representatives of ministries and member bodies of the Committee. During the meeting, Ambassador / Alaa Rushdi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Acting Head of the Technical Secretariat (TS) of the Committee, reviewed the progress made in the work of the TS, during the months of January and February 2021.
Within the framework of the celebration of the World Day of Social Justice on the 20th of February of each year, the Technical Secretariat (TS) of the SSCHR issued a report on this occasion that addresses the most significant national efforts to achieve social justice from a human rights perspective.
In conjunction with the world's celebration on February 4 this year - for the first time - the International Day of Human Fraternity, the Technical Secretariat (TS) of the SSCHR issued a report on this occasion dealing with the leading role of Egypt within the framework of the United Nations in the field of promoting culture of peace and the values of tolerance and religious freedoms; and within the constitutional and legal framework that supports the values and principles of human fraternity
On Tuesday 12 January, the hearings of The Technical Secretariat (TS) of the SSCHR met with representatives of civil society organizations, in preparation for the launch of the first national strategy for human rights, concluded.
On Sunday morning, the tenth of January, the hearings held by the Technical Secretariat (TS) of the SSCHR with representatives of civil society organizations began, in preparation for the launch of the first national strategy for human rights.
A meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR), headed by Mr. Mohamed Fayek, President of the NCHR, and Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Ihab Gamal El-Din, Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights and Secretary-General of the SSCHR, in the presence of a number of council members and heads of units in the TS of the Committee.
His excellency, Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affair, and President and Chairman of the SSCHR met, on December 23rd , with the members of the TS of SSCHR. Minister Shoukry stressed that the establishment and work of SSCHR comes as a practical translation of the strong political will of the Egyptian State, at its highest level, to protect and promote respect for human rights, stressing the importance of the role entrusted to the TS of the SSCHR to carry out the tasks entrusted to it in this regard.
